budget, and your needs, but we also help you with everything after the initial setup as
well, including web hosting, finding the best WordPress
themes and plugins, and increasing the performance and security of your website as well. Today we’re talking about how
to get more website traffic. So in today’s video we’re
sharing 10 simple ways to instantly increase
your website’s traffic. More traffic equals more customers and more customers equals more
money at the end of the day. So at number one, our
first suggestion is SEO. And luckily for WordPress users there is a free SEO
plugin called Yoast SEO with over 5 million active installations. Here’s Yoast in action on
one of our blogs posts. In this post we are sharing a food recipe. And as you can see here
in the Yoast SEO box, it allows us to focus
on a certain key phrase that we want to try to rank for on Google. If you’re unfamiliar with SEO
or Search Engine Optimization, this is when you search
for something on Google and the results pop-up underneath. When you optimize your content, so let’s say a blog post or a page to optimize for a certain key phrase, it increases your chances
of showing as a result for certain key phrases, Yoast supplies dozens of helpful pointers to help increase your
chances of ranking on Google. By optimizing your content
to rank higher on Google, you can increase your
chances of getting tons of organic search traffic from people who are already
looking up the content that you’re creating. Yoast is a completely
free plugin to download, install and start using today, but you can combine it
with additional software such as Ahrefs, which will allow you to
do a deep technical audit of your website’s SEO. Performing a deep analysis
of your website’s SEO can allow you to make
further optimizations and improvements and also allow you to see competitors keyword rankings and also some of their
strategies and traffic sources. This may give you a clear
idea of how you can approach your website and how to get more traffic for your website similar
to what competitors are already doing in
your niche or industry. So continuing the topic of SEO, one key factor in your
ranking higher on Google is increasing your webpages performance. This means decreasing your load times so that they’re shorter for every visitor. By optimizing your website’s performance and creating faster load times, this actually leads to higher
organic search rankings and also a better customer
experience for everyone who visits your website. Nobody likes long load times, and this may actually
cause a huge drop-off when people leave if your
website takes too long to load. Now our number one recommendation for a free performance boosting plugin is a caching plugin called W3 Total Cache. As you can see here, W3
Total Cache helps with SEO and performance optimization by using a method called caching. Now caching allows your website visitors to download parts of your website so that the pages load quicker. In addition to this,
you can integrate things such as a CDN or content delivery network. Some of the most popular
content delivery networks are Cloudflare and StackPath. What CDNs allow your website to do is allow your website visitors
to download your website from the closest servers to them. Now, if you’re based in the
US and you have a visitor who’s visiting your website from London, then it makes sense for that visitor to download your website
from the nearest server, let’s say in the UK. Another key feature of
W3 Total Cache is that it integrates with
Google PageSpeed report. When you connect your website with Google’s PageSpeed report, it gives you a direct analysis of how your website’s performance is doing in the eyes of Google. Again, website performance
is one of the key factors when it comes to ranking
higher on Google search engine because they want their customers to have the best experience and this includes having quick load times. Alright, moving on to number three. We have email marketing. Now, email marketing is
a very powerful channel that you can use to directly communicate with your website’s visitors
and turn them into an audience. Here you can see on our homepage
we have an email opt-in. This is where visitors put in their name and email address and they get
added to a subscriber list. Now the email marketing
software that we recommend is Constant Contact, which allows you to easily create beautiful emails that you can send to
your email subscribers. And you can even automate these
emails so that they get sent to every new subscriber upon signup. With year-round and seasonal templates that you can easily drag and
drop edit Constant Contact will have you sending
beautiful emails in no time. If you’re interested in signing up, we do offer a 60-day
free trial on our website or in the video description below. You can also visit our discounts page where you can save up to 66% off the most popular WordPress
web hosting and software. And here you’ll find that
the 60-day free trial of Constant Contact as well. Utilizing email marketing is a way to get return visitors to your website, which is a segment that new
website owners tend to overlook. Most beginners look for new traffic and new customers when
return customers are the ones who are most likely to
actually buy something and they’re already familiar with your brand and your website. This is where email
marketing comes into play. Now the fourth recommendation
on our list is installing a Facebook pixel on your website so you can collect every
single eligible visitor on your website and add
them to a Retargeting list. Now a Retargeting list is a list of people who have visited your website
and you can actually show ads just to people who have
already visited your website. Now by choosing to show ads to people who’ve already seen your website. Now remember, Facebook has
over 1 billion active users every single month, so the chances of someone
visiting your website, having a Facebook account
that can be tracked and then shown ads to,
is a high probability. By showing ads to people who have already visited your website, it’s similar to email
marketing in the sense that we are going after return customers who are already familiar with our website and with our brand. This is known as warm traffic. And it’s a lot easier to
convert or sell to warm traffic than it is to a brand new audience, also known as cold traffic. Now our fifth recommendation is to create a Facebook or Instagram ad. Now again, Facebook and Instagram have over 1 billion active monthly users, so there’s a high
probability that whatever you’re selling or
whatever niche you’re in, you’re able to find an audience and potential customers here. Now, unlike email marketing and using a Facebook
pixel for Retargeting, when you create a brand new
Facebook or Instagram ad to a cold traffic audience,
it doesn’t convert as well, but it’s better than
having no traffic at all. Facebook and Instagram
make it easy to create ads because it is a large part
of their business model. You can create either a
simple image and text ad or if you have a video, you can also run video ads to a Facebook or Instagram audience. Facebook and Instagram allow
you to choose audiences based on interests and
also demographics as well. Now at number six you can
also run Google search ads. The most common type of Google search ad is known as pay-per-click or PPC. Pay-per-click, as the name suggests, allows you to bid for certain keywords and key phrases similar to SEO except in this case we actually
get to show our website at the top of the search rankings and as you can see here, there is a little ad box that shows that this is actually a paid for ad, which is using pay-per-click. So if someone were to click this ad, then this company or this
website would have to pay every time someone clicks their ad. When you scroll down, you
start to see the SEO results and these are all free organic traffic. These websites here are not running an ad and therefore they don’t have to pay every time someone clicks their website. Just like Facebook and Instagram ads, Google ads is pretty simple to set up because do want new
customers and new businesses to invest into their ad platform. Again, ad revenue is a large majority of how these companies make money. Therefore, they invest millions, if not billions of dollars
onto their ad platform to make it accessible to beginners and Fortune 500 companies
and everything in between. Now at number seven we have YouTube. If you have a blog post
or a page on your website that you could turn into a YouTube video, you can embed this onto your website and they will allow you to get visitors not only from Google search
engine, but YouTube as well. Here you can see we are looking
at Google search results and there are plenty of videos that show up in the results as well. By converting your content into a video, it allows you to attract
a different audience than those who would prefer
to read their content instead. Now you can attract an audience who would rather watch a YouTube video. Now at number eight we
have content marketing. So content marketing includes
blog posts, guides, tutorials, and creating content on your website is a way to expand your reach. Again, by using something like Yoast SEO and performing search engine optimization on your website and on
your website’s content and blog posts, it allows you to show up on the Google search rankings
and get organic traffic. From people who are already
searching up your key phrase. The more content that you
create such as blog posts, guides, tutorials, and videos, the more chances you
have to show up in front of your target audience. Now in number nine, we recommend writing or participating in free public forums such as Quora or Reddit. Quora is a platform where
users get to answer questions. And this is a great opportunity for you to share some of your knowledge and expertise with your audience. Also, Quora allows you to
post links to your website, so you can use this as an
opportunity to share your website. However, we recommend you never spam. Spamming will always lead to
your account getting banned and also building a bad
reputation for your website. And at number 10 we
recommend guest posting on a major news publication or website. Believe it or not, major publications
actually allow contributors to submit content. This is an opportunity for you
to share a popular blog post or topic on your website
and gain more exposure for that content as well. Also, by having your website linked to from one of these large websites, it actually increases your SEO, which in turn will further
increase your rankings on Google. Alright, so that wraps
